How is dance in the education system a valuable tool to those who partake?

  1. Emily - graph explains your way of thinking and looks like a useful tool here in stating your way of seeing your practice as an example of the value of the education systems. Make sure your positioning/bias does not overwhelm the data your are gathering - you need to critically reflect on this data. Sarah also must challenge her perceptions about dance in education by looking at differing points of view and challenging your findings - you may want to contact her about how she is tackling these issues. A rigorous argument based on evidence cannot just be a self-fulfilling prophesy, although advocates can state their case based on data. Use literature as a way of 'challenging' you hypothesis - because most of us think yes - dance education is a valuable tool - but it is something that we might need to fight for in current circumstances (see latest BBC link form my blog). Your three pieces of literature are useful - work on an expanded bibliography. What have you found in the dance research publication?
