I'm back! Task 4a

I have been slow at starting this module. I tend to find that the more I know I need to catch up on work, the more I seem to put it off and thus make myself even more behind! After panicking a whole heap I had a great phone call with Paula, she gave me a telling off (I use that term very lightly) and then proceeded to get my mind back into gear.  I told Paula that I have an array of thoughts that I find almost impossible to communicate on paper.  The analogy that my car couldn’t see past the fog was precisely how I was felt.  In order to inquire about my professional practice a series of questions that were prompted by Paula enabled me to make sense of my thoughts and my professional journey so far.

What is your community of practice? Is it job related, and does this lead to an important avenue of getting employment?
If I was to combine my experience with my community of practice and expand on module 1 it all relates to my inquiry.  The idea that intuitive work and creative people is all the gathering of evidence. As artist I believe we have the capacity to put ideas together and read those ideas through movement/performances.
What excites you?
What professional special interest groups can you relate to?

  2. Hi Emily. I feel as if you have just summarised everything ive also been feeling. I too have been putting this off and found it very difficult to summarise what is going around in my head. Youve got a great start here and defiantely some good questions to get you off on that path. Im hoping that once i get going and note things down, a path will become clearerfor me to follow! good luck with it :)

    1. Hey Michelle, glad to hear i'm not the only one that was panicking! Keep in touch about your inquiry and if they sway similar to mine we should discuss it more! Good luck for you too! :)

  3. Emily you have made a good start to developing your lines of inquiry - it seems you are not alone - and have now made a good start on thinking about an area of interest that could become the topic of your inquiry.

I found this website about learning http://www.mindofallan.com/2011/02/learning-process-how-we-master-any-skill/

    1. Wow what an awesome website! Thank you Paula!! I'm also really intrigued by a company that is run by family members and how this can change the relationship between them... If you know of any websites about that please let me know too! Thanks again :)
